About Me

My name is Andrea Nave. I have a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Fordham University and am currently licensed to practice in Connecticut and New York.  I specialize in the treatment of anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorders, as well as parenting anxious youth.

I completed a ridiculous amount (haha) of training in these areas before starting to practice.  I trained at many places, including the Program for Anxiety and Mood Disorders at Yale Child Study Center, Anxiety Disorders Center/Center for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy at the Institute of Living at Hartford Hospital, Bellevue Hospital Adolescent Inpatient Unit, Institute for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity and Disruptive Behavior Disorders and Institute for Learning and Academic Achievement at New York University (NYU) Child Study Center, the Child/Adolescent Treatment Center (CAT-C), Institute for Behavior Therapy & Child, Family, & Adult Services of Westchester (CFA-W), and Compulsive, Obsessive, And Anxiety Program (COAP) at Fordham University.

I am published in The Journal of Clinical Psychiatry, Journal of Child Psychology and Psychiatry, Journal of Obsessive-Compulsive and Related Disorders, Brain Imaging and Behavior, and more.

My greatest joy is being mom to my twin eight year-old boys.

I have been described by my patients as direct, keeps it real, funny, and one that gives practical advice.

Hope you enjoy my blog!
